With a semi-matte effect, Hotmark Revolution is ideal for your textile creations. With a thickness of 75 microns, this film combines lightness and robustness, ensuring durable adhesion on a wide range of supports.
For optimal transfer, you have several options:
- Pressing at 140°C for 5 seconds with medium pressure,
- Pressing at 120°C for 20 seconds with medium pressure,
- For nylon supports, apply at 140°C for 15 seconds with the same pressure. These methods guarantee uniform and high-quality application while preserving the texture of your fabric.
To maintain the brilliance of your creations, it is recommended to wash textiles at a maximum temperature of 60°C. When ironing, always iron inside out to protect the semi-matte design and prolong its durability.
This cutting flex offers an elegant semi-matte finish, providing a refined touch to your designs. This effect is perfect for clothing, accessories, or decorations, adding a modern and sophisticated touch to each piece.
In addition to its Oeko-Tex certification, Hotmark Revolution is also certified EVE Vegan, making it an environmentally friendly option for your textile personalization projects.
The Hotmark Revolution cutting flex is available in 41 colors.
1. Cutting the Film in Mirror Mode
- Before cutting, set your cutting machine to work in mirror mode. This step is essential as the design will be applied in reverse to be correctly oriented once transferred onto the textile.
- Use a flex blade suitable for cutting heat-transfer flex film and precisely adjust the blade depth according to the material's thickness. This ensures a clean cut without damaging the polyester backing.
- Ensure the blade settings optimize precision, especially for fine details in the design. We recommend performing a test cut before starting production.
2. Weeding
- After cutting, proceed with weeding by removing the excess material around the cut design.
- Use specific tools such as a hook or tweezers to weed with precision, ensuring only the desired design remains on the polyester backing.
- Make sure that the small details of the design are well-preserved and all the excess material is cleanly removed.
3. Positioning and Transferring the Design onto the Textile
- Place the textile on the heat press, ensuring the surface is clean.
- Position the design (with the polyester backing still attached) on the desired area of the textile.
- Protect the design with silicone paper to prevent direct contact between the heat press plate and the polyester film.
o Quick Mode (for standard textiles)
- Set the heat press to 140°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 5 seconds. This step ensures the flex adheres firmly to the fabric.
- You can remove the polyester backing when it is warm or cold, ensuring the flex design stays well attached to the textile. Pulling the backing gently at a low angle reduces the risk of peeling.
o Low-Temperature Mode (for sensitive textiles)
- Set the heat press to 120°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 20 seconds. This step ensures the flex adheres firmly to the fabric.
- You can remove the polyester backing when it is warm or cold, ensuring the flex design stays well attached to the textile. Pulling the backing gently at a low angle reduces the risk of peeling.
o Nylon (two-step process)
- First Pressing: Set the heat press to 140°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 5 seconds. Remove the polyester film while it is still warm after this first pressing.
- Second Pressing: Set the heat press to 140°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 15 seconds to ensure a durable bond of the design to the nylon.
By following these step-by-step instructions, you will achieve a high-quality, durable transfer that is perfectly fixed to the textile, whether it's standard, sensitive materials, or nylon.
- Follow the care instructions specified on the garment: The recommendations for the fabric on which the film has been applied must be followed to ensure its durability.
- Wait 24 hours before the first wash: This allows the film to properly adhere to the fabric and prevents it from peeling off or deteriorating prematurely.
- Iron only on the reverse side: To protect the transfer and avoid damage from direct heat, it is essential to iron the garment inside out.
- Storage: The film should be stored in optimal conditions, namely in an upright position, away from direct light and humidity, for a maximum of one year. Improper storage may alter the film’s properties, such as its adhesion or elasticity.
- Washing: The garment can be washed at a maximum temperature of 60°C for cotton fabrics, and 40°C for nylon fabrics. It is recommended to wash it inside out to prevent the transfer from being exposed to friction, which could damage it.
- Do not use harsh products: Detergents containing bleach or other aggressive chemicals can deteriorate the film and affect its durability.
- Tumble drying: Tumble drying is allowed, but it is advisable to check if the fabric is compatible with this drying method.
- Dry cleaning: The garment can be dry cleaned without risk to the transfer.
These recommendations are essential to ensure the quality and longevity of the marking on personalized textiles.
