- Cutting the film in mirror mode
• Before cutting, set your cutting machine to work in mirror mode. This step is essential, as the design will be applied reversed to appear correctly once transferred onto the textile.
• Use a flock blade suitable for cutting heat-transfer vinyl, and adjust the blade depth precisely according to the material’s thickness. This ensures a clean cut without damaging the polyester backing.
• Make sure the blade settings provide optimal precision, especially for fine details in the design. We recommend performing a test cut before starting production. - Weeding
• After cutting, proceed with weeding by removing the excess material around the cut design.
• Use specific tools such as a hook or tweezers to weed accurately, ensuring only the desired design remains on the polyester carrier.
• Check that all small details of the design are properly preserved and that all excess material is cleanly removed. - Positioning and transferring the design onto the textile
• Place the textile on the heat press, ensuring the surface is clean.
• Position the design (with its polyester backing still in place) on the desired area of the textile.
• Protect the design with silicone paper to prevent direct contact between the heat press plate and the polyester film.
• Set the press to 145°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 15 seconds. For Metallic colors, press twice for 8 seconds each. The combination of heat, time and pressure ensures proper adhesion of the design to the textile. - Removing the polyester backing
• Remove the polyester backing hot right after pressing. For Metallic colors, remove the polyester backing only when cold.
• Slowly peel off the polyester carrier, checking that the design remains perfectly adhered to the textile.
By following these steps, you will achieve a professional-quality, durable and well-applied transfer on your textile.
• Strictly follow the care instructions specified on the garment: The recommendations specific to the textile on which the film has been applied must be followed to ensure its durability.
• Wait 24 hours before the first wash: This allows the film to bond properly to the fabric and prevents premature peeling or damage.
• Iron only on the reverse side: To protect the transfer and avoid damaging it with the direct heat of the iron, it is essential to iron the garment inside out.
• Storage: The film must be stored in optimal conditions — vertically, away from direct light and humidity — for a maximum of one year. Improper storage can affect the film’s properties, such as adhesion or elasticity.
• Washing: The garment can be washed at a maximum temperature of 40°C, and it is recommended to wash it inside out to avoid exposing the transfer to friction that could damage it.
• Do not use harsh products: Bleach-based detergents or other aggressive chemicals can damage the film and reduce its durability.
• Tumble dryer: The use of a tumble dryer is not allowed.
