This metallic transfer film boasts a 60-micron thickness, providing a lightweight yet durable solution for your textile customization projects. Its thinness allows for perfect integration on various materials while delivering a spectacular effect.
For optimal transfer, it is recommended to use a heat press set to 145°C. Apply the film for 15 seconds with medium pressure. This method ensures effective adhesion while preserving the quality and texture of the textile. It is imperative to never press Metallic twice.
To maintain the beauty of your creations, hand washing is recommended. When ironing, always iron inside out to protect the metallic design and prevent any damage.
The film offers a brilliant metallic effect, adding a touch of sophistication to your designs. This finish is perfect for creating unique pieces that catch the eye and bring a modern, dynamic look.

1. Cutting the Film in Mirror Mode
- Before cutting, configure your cutting machine to work in mirror mode. This step is essential, as the marking will be applied in reverse to ensure it is correctly oriented once transferred onto the textile.
- Use a flex blade suitable for cutting heat transfer flex, and precisely adjust the blade depth according to the material's thickness. This ensures a clean cut without damaging the polyester backing layer.
- Verify that the blade setting optimizes precision, especially for fine details of the design. It is advisable to perform a test cut before starting production.
2. Weeding
- After cutting, proceed with weeding by removing the excess material around the cut design.
- Use specific tools like a hook or tweezers for precise weeding, ensuring that only the desired design remains on the polyester backing.
3. Positioning and Transferring the Design onto the Textile
- Place the textile on the heat press, ensuring that the surface is clean.
- Position the design (with the polyester backing still in place) on the desired area of the textile.
- Protect the marking with silicone paper to avoid direct contact between the heat press platen and the polyester film.
- Set the heat press to 145°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 15 seconds. The combination of heat, time, and pressure ensures that the design adheres well to the textile.
4. Removing the Polyester When Cold
- Allow the textile to cool completely before removing the polyester backing.
- Once the textile has cooled, gently peel off the polyester backing, ensuring that the flex marking remains well adhered to the textile. Pulling the backing off slowly at a low angle reduces the risk of the design lifting.
By following these steps, you will achieve a professional-quality, durable, and well-applied marking on the textile.
- Follow the care instructions specified on the garment: The recommendations for the fabric on which the film has been applied must be followed to ensure its durability.
- Wait 24 hours before the first wash: This allows the film to properly adhere to the fabric and prevents it from peeling off or deteriorating prematurely.
- Iron only on the reverse side: To protect the transfer and avoid damage from direct heat, it is essential to iron the garment inside out.
- Storage: The film should be stored in optimal conditions, namely in an upright position, away from direct light and humidity, for a maximum of one year. Improper storage may alter the film’s properties, such as its adhesion or elasticity.
- Washing: The garment should only be hand-washed, and it is recommended to wash it inside out to prevent the transfer from being exposed to friction, which could damage it.
- Do not use harsh products: Detergents containing bleach or other aggressive chemicals can deteriorate the film and affect its durability.
- Tumble drying: Not recommended. Tumble drying can damage both the transfer and the fabric.
- Dry cleaning: Not recommended. Dry cleaning could alter the quality of the transfer.
These recommendations are essential to ensure the quality and longevity of the marking on personalized textiles.
