1. Cutting the Film in Mirror Mode

    • Before cutting, configure your cutting machine to work in mirror mode. This step is crucial as the design will be applied in reverse to be correctly oriented once transferred onto the fabric.
    • Use a flex blade suitable for cutting heat transfer vinyl and precisely adjust the blade depth according to the thickness of the material. This ensures a clean cut without damaging the polyester backing.
    • Ensure the blade setting optimizes precision, especially for fine details of the design. It’s advisable to perform a test cut before starting a full production run.

    2. Weeding

      • After cutting, proceed with weeding by removing the excess material around the cut design.
      • Use specific tools such as a hook or tweezers for precise weeding, making sure to leave only the desired design on the polyester backing.
      • Ensure that small details of the design are preserved and that all excess material is cleanly removed.

      3. Positioning and Transferring the Design onto the Fabric

        • Place the fabric on the heat press, ensuring the surface is clean.
        • Position the design (with the polyester backing still in place) on the desired area of the fabric.
        • Protect the design with a silicone sheet to prevent direct contact between the heat press plate and the polyester film.

        • Quick Mode (for standard fabrics)
        • Set the heat press to 140°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 5 seconds. This step allows the vinyl to adhere firmly to the fabric.
        • You can remove the polyester backing when it is hot or cold, ensuring the design remains firmly attached to the fabric. Gently pulling the backing at a low angle reduces the risk of peeling.

        • Low Temperature (for sensitive fabrics)
        • Set the heat press to 120°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 20 seconds. This step ensures the vinyl adheres firmly to the fabric.
        • You can remove the polyester backing when it is warm or cold, ensuring the design remains securely attached to the fabric. Gently pulling the backing at a low angle reduces the risk of peeling.

        • Nylon (two-step pressing)
        • First Press: Set the heat press to 140°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 5 seconds. Remove the polyester film while it is still warm after this first pressing.
        • Second Press: Set the heat press to 140°C, apply medium pressure, and press for 15 seconds to ensure a durable fixation of the design on the nylon.

By following these step-by-step instructions, you will achieve a high-quality, durable transfer that is perfectly adhered to the fabric, whether it’s a standard, sensitive, or nylon material.

        • Follow the care instructions specified on the garment: The recommendations for the specific textile on which the film has been applied must be followed to ensure its durability.
        • Wait 24 hours before the first wash: This allows the film to properly adhere to the fabric and prevents it from peeling or deteriorating prematurely.
        • Iron only on the reverse side: To protect the transfer and avoid damage from the direct heat of the iron, it is essential to iron the garment inside out.
        • Storage: The film should be stored under optimal conditions, vertically, away from direct light and moisture, for a maximum of one year. Improper storage can affect the film's properties, such as its adhesion or elasticity.
        • Washing: The garment can be washed at a maximum temperature of 60°C for cotton textiles, and 40°C for nylon textiles. It is recommended to wash it inside out to avoid exposing the transfer directly to friction, which could damage it.
        • Avoid harsh products: Bleach-based detergents or other harsh chemicals can damage the film and affect its durability.
        • Tumble drying: Tumble drying is allowed, but it is advisable to check the textile’s compatibility with this drying method.
        • Dry cleaning: The garment can be dry cleaned without risk to the transfer.

These recommendations are essential to ensure the quality and longevity of the markings on personalized textiles.
